RESTORE AND HEAL Contemporary acupuncture redefines the ancient therapy of acupuncture by applying modern-day science, physiology and neuroanatomy to each treatment. Acupuncture points are selected that align specifically with neurological pathways and needles are inserted in order to promote the bodies natural healing processes. Gentle electricity may be added either directly to the needles (electrical acupuncture) or over the skin in order to promote better communication along neuropathways and help speed up the healing process even further. What to expect from this treatment Mary incorporates contemporary acupuncture into a relaxing massage treatment. You can expect to receive a massage as well as acupuncture throughout the treatment with or without electrical stimulation. This treatment is not available to anyone under the age of 16 or anyone who is pregnant – please let your therapist know if you are pregnant prior to treatment. Note for insurance claims: this treatment is administered by an RMT and therefore should be claimed as massage therapy.
